I love being with people – getting to know them and finding out about their lives…

I’ve always been creative – whether it’s dressmaking (including turning old handbags into hats!) or writing and performing songs. But I found my true creative niche after my son Peter was born and I began taking pictures of him. As all parents know, those early years pass so quickly and suddenly those tiny little people are teenagers! Recording those cherished moments as Peter began to grow became so important. I knew I was creating memories my husband Tony and I would be able to look back on.

I knew too I’d finally found the perfect outlet for my creativity so I went back to university to immerse myself in photography. I set up my portrait photography and family lifestyle business from my home in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey in 2007 and it brings together so many facets of my life. I love being with people – getting to know them and finding out about their lives. I think that’s why I’m able to put clients at ease so they get the get the best out of their photoshoot. Working with children is such fun too. Perhaps it’s because I’m a mum myself that I can get children to relax and just be themselves. That’s how I produce stunningly natural images of children at play that capture the very essence of their young characters.

When I’m not working, a camera is always to hand – even if it’s just my iPhone. I see possible photographs everywhere I look – even in seemingly mundane things. Peter is still one of my main subjects along with my wonderful border terriers, Reggie and Rosie!

I'd love to keep in touch with my latest news, competitions and offers!
